Visit to the Permaculture Project "Tadzuka" in Kampatha – 06.03.2025

After a restful first night in Lilongwe, we set off the next morning to visit our projects in the Dedza region. Along the way, we stopped by the permaculture project “Tadzuka” run by our close friends Lawi, Tadza, Matthews, Pempo, and Precious in the village of Kampatha.

Thanks to the support of many donors, the land for the project has already been acquired. The first maize fields have been planted, but since the previous owners were still cultivating the land during the current rainy season, the entire area can only be fully utilized once the season ends. Otherwise, the Tadzuka team would have had to pay compensation.

The land itself is wonderfully fertile and offers ideal conditions for a permaculture project. The pictures speak for themselves: lush greenery, rich soil, and a climate that perfectly supports sustainable agriculture. We are excited to see how the project develops in the coming months.
